25歲的台北人劉品佑就是其中一人。他向BBC中文說道，之前在家裡看新聞時，外婆會把聲音轉小、窗戶關起來、窗簾拉起來，他原本以為每個家庭都和他一樣，一直到高中畢業前，無意間得知外婆的兄長在事件中死亡，才知道家人避談政治、小心翼翼的舉措，都是因為創傷。
